Leilani Dixon

My 11 year old daughter started cometing in Jr. fitness after watching me and deciding it was something she wanted to do too. She is amazing!! I love sharing this sport with her. To be able to share something I’m so passionate about and have her love it just as much as me is just priceless.

Leilani’s Competition History:

2011  Ftiness Legacy Southwest Champion

2010 Legacy Jr. Fitness Universe Champion

2010 Jr. Fitness Bay area- 1st place

2010 Silver and Black Jr. Fitness – 1st place

2009 Jr. Fitness Bay Area- 1st place

2009 Silver and Black Jr. Fitness- 1st place

I am so proud of her!!!!

Tired…Cardio anyone?

Bedtime was hard tonight! The two little ones were fighting over everything. I love my children very much but I really wish that they had a mute button for nights like tonight. Leilani had to study for a math test tomorrow. I tried to help- but when did fifth grade math get so hard? They now teach things completely different than I remember. Apparently, the way I solve the problem is not the right way- even though the answer is correct??
I planned a second cardion session for tonight- but my bed looks very comfy and it’s calling my name….. NO!! Going to stick it out and jump on the elliptical while I watch some TV. I may be a tired mommy but I really would like to be tired mommy with a hard body. heehee….

Today, Gianna asked her friend what gym her mom goes to. She wanted to know if they would see each other at the same kid’s center. Her friend said, “My mom doesn’t go to the gym.” Gianna’s response, ” What do you mean? ALL mommies go to the gym and exercise!” lol

Sometimes motherhood and fitness don’t always mesh together that well. I got up at 5:30am this morning ready to do my morning cardio. However, my son decided to wake up early too and was ready to play. By some miracle I was able to coax him back to bed. I check the clock and it’s now 5:45am. Whew! I thought I can still get a good 1/2 hour of cardio. I head downstairs only to hear the pitter patter of feet running down the hallway. Now my daughter decided she was ready to wake up. Ugh!!! There goes my morning plan. I fix her some food and by the time I’m done with that the other two are awake and ready to go. I guess it’s a plan B type of day……
Later, I make it to the gym and get a great workout while my two little ones are locked away in the gym daycare unable to interrupt my workout – haha!!! Then for some fun family time (and to get in some of that cardio I missed earlier) my two little ones and I head to Pump it Up. There we all spend an hour jumping and climbing through the bounce houses. The end result was some wonderful family time, a little bit of cardio fun and two tired kids ready for bed. So as it turns out plan B worked out just right.
